Initia Testnet: Phase 2 – Week 1 tutorial

Initia is an L1 blockchain on Cosmos with the Move programming language and Optimism customized rollups for launching L2 solutions.

The project has already raised $7.5M from Binance Labs, Delphi Digital, Nascent.

At this point we have completed the tasks of the first phase of the testnet, which has been running for 8 weeks. Now the project has started the final phase of the testnet, after which it will be immediately released to mainnet and we are very likely to get airdrop.

Key Points

• The rewards in the second phase will be stickers;
• A maximum of 1 sticker can be received in 1 week;
• Stickers can be claimed at the end of each week;
• The second phase will last 4 weeks, until August 14;
• Dead pets have been resurrected and are now immortal.

Walking through the Leaderboard

Your position in the Leaderboard depends on:

• Collected XP;
• Jennie Level;
• Jennie HP;
• Amount of received stickers.

Request testnet GAS and INIT tokens

The restriction on getting test tokens from the faucet is still in place and you need to have at least 20 points on your Gitcoin passport.

1. Go to faucet, connect Initia and Entereum wallet (With Gitcoint score >= 20 points);
2. Solve the captcha;
3. Press [Claim testnet tokens] button.

Completing the first week tasks

Bridge INIT from L1 to L2

1. Go to Minitswap and send 1 INIT token from Initia to any L2 chain;
2. Press [Submit] and [Approve] transaction in Initia wallet.

Bridge INIT from L2 to L1 via OP Bridge

1. Go to Minitswap and send 1 INIT token from any L2 chain to L1 (Initia);
2. Select [Optimistic bridge] method;
3. Press [Submit] and [Approve] transaction in Initia wallet.

Bridge INIT from L2 to L1 via IBC

1. Go to Minitswap and send 1 INIT token from any L2 chain to L1 (Initia);
2. Select [IBC bridge] method;
3. Press [Submit] and [Approve] transaction in Initia wallet.

Mint milkINIT from Milkyway

1. Visit MilkyWay, press [Connect Wallet] and connect your Initia wallet;
2. Next click on [Get Tokens] and select [MILK], then click on [Claim MILK] button;

3. Then you need bridge INIT token from Initia to MilkyWay;
4. Press [Bidge] zone under stake form, then enter amount of INIT you want to bridge and click [Bridge INIT to MilkyWay];

5. After these steps, it remains to add INIT tokens to the stake. Enter the amount of INIT you want to add and click the [Stake] button and [Approve] in the wallet.

Claim First week Sticker

If you have completed the previous 4 tasks, you can label your sticker.

1. Move to Initia XP;
2. Scroll under the quests and click the [Claim] button and [Approve] in your wallet.

Conclusion

The new phase surprised me with the fact that you no longer need to complete bundles of quests every day, and this is definitely a big plus. We’ll see what the project team has in store for us in the coming weeks. But for now, everything is as relaxed as possible, so we are completing and collecting stickers. Those who completed the first phase, don’t miss it.
